Interchangeable core comes in 2 sizes SFIC (small format) and LFIC (large format). Schlage call their's FSIC (Full Size).
We have loads of experience with both LFIC and SFIC. We focus a lot more on SFIC though. We can create the control key to an existing system by reverse engineering the math. This would be handy if we are going to rekey your building and you don't have a control key to remove the cores from the housings. Doing this would cut costs exponentially. It wouldn't make sense to do this on only a few doors.
Not only can we take over your existing SFIC/LFIC system but we can also create a new system for you if you don't already have one. Why would this benefit you? If you supervise a environment that you constantly have to have locks rekeyed due to employee change over we can set you up on an Interchangeable core system which would involve us coming out to your building and doing a walk through determining what hardware will be needed and where exactly it all needs to go. Once we return and complete the installation you shouldn't need to have a locksmith come out to rekey your location any more. We can simply ship you your next set of cores and keys when you are ready and you can swap the core out yourself in a matter of seconds with the control key we create for you issued during the initial installation. We can send a return shipping label where you can ship the old cores back to us and this will give you big discount when you are ready to rekey again.
